The generator says no model is selected

Open Settings, choose a backend, scan the configured model roots, and select a checkpoint. For Diffusers, scan cached models or enter a model ID supported by the bridge.

Generation is slow or fails during model load

Try a smaller resolution, confirm the model fits available memory, and check that the model files are local and complete. The Diffusers backend also needs its Python environment installed and available to Planar.

Refine is unavailable

Select a design edit model in the Refine panel or Settings. Some models need to be downloaded before they can be used, and license restrictions are shown alongside the model.

An MCP client cannot connect

Make sure Planar is running, use http://127.0.0.1:3131/sse, and ensure the client supports SSE transport. A browser page hosted elsewhere will be rejected by the server’s origin checks. Use tools/list after initialization to confirm the live connection.

A plugin is not ready

Refresh the plugin list, check its model status in Settings → Plugins, and load or download the required ONNX model. If the plugin remains in error, inspect the app log for the model path and runtime error.
